Classes In Our Studio In These “Times”
our public health policies
we are a mask-up zone
Resistance breathing is a fairly major component of many yoga practices. You may know about ujaii breathing, in which you tone your throat to create resistance and make the breath more mindful and steady. We are approaching masks that way; if you so choose you can use them to create and practice empowered breath.
It's actually kind of awesome, when you think about it.
Air Exchange
One of the wonderful things about our yoga space is our state of the art ERV - Energy Recovery Ventilation - system. This system pulls air out of the yoga room and exchanges it with fresh outdoor air at a high rate, which improves the air quality of our yoga room. We will be running this system during classes in order to keep the air fresh and clean for your practice.
Cleaning
In addition to our regular cleaning routines, major surfaces like doorknobs and bathrooms will be cleaned before and after each class with Clorox-grade disinfectant. Hand sanitizer will be available at the door, in the bathrooms, and at the entrance to the yoga room.
Maximum 12 students per class
Please sign up on MindBody online if you want to save a space. Waiting list will also be available if you're trying to make it to class.
All classes at 75-85 degree range
This is both a reflection of the need for healthy ventilation and a response to the political and environmental concerns of our time. Our energy-efficient heating panels will maintain a comfortable heat that will help you sweat without extreme temperatures.
No mat or prop rentals
So make sure you bring your gear, please.
Showers and changing rooms closed
For the time being, we will be limiting student access to the lobby, yoga room, and bathrooms. We will greatly miss changing room social hour and hope to bring it back as soon as its responsible :D
Enter from the lobby directly to the yoga room
There'll be a sign, no worries. Just chill in the lobby/hallway and we'll come grab ya.
Kyle is teaching all the classes
For now, we're running a skeleton crew. Additions might show up later, if the other teachers behave themselves.
Watching the numbers
We will be keeping an eye on local and state-level numbers on Coronavirus. Our first priority is the safety of our community, so all decisions about continued operation will be made with an eye on public health and responsible citizenship.
Your Part Of The Process
Remember your mask
Please give yourself a little extra time when you arrive at Pine Street
Arrive in your yoga clothes, with your mat and props
wait in the exterior hallway
please respect public health guidance; if you have symptoms or have been out of Vermont in the last ten days, we ask you stay home
